Avenir Telecom, a licensee of the Energizer® brand,
just announced the launch of a very unique 4G VoLTE feature phone. The device
is called Energizer® ENERGY E240S and it packs some quite interesting hardware
for its category, going from the large 2000mAh to a front camera selfie.
The Energizer® ENERGY E240S comes packing a big
2000mAh battery, which can last up to 14 days on standby or provide up to 15
hours of talktime (in 2G mode).
The phone features a design that is very reminiscent
of some devices that came out in the early 2000s. This design does not only
give us a nostalgic feeling though, but is also super compact compared to the
plethora of other 4G devices on the market.
The Energizer® ENERGY E240S features a 2.4-inch TFT
QVGA screen which is big enough for basic smart functionalities such as
checking social media, stream the latest online videos and even read the news.
Albeit a feature phone, the Energizer® ENERGY E240S still features a 2MP camera
at the back, and a 0.3MP selfie snapper; the phone can also record 720p videos.
The Energizer® ENERGY E240S is equipped with a
Spreadtrum SC9820W dual core processor
clocked at 1.2GHz which also allows the phone to support 4G-LTE connectivity at
speeds of up to 150/50 Mbps. Meanwhile on the calls side, the E240S features
VoLTE (Voice over LTE or 4G Voice). VoLTE is a network innovation that gives
calls superior voice quality and keeps 4G/LTE active during phone
conversations.
The Energizer® ENERGY E240S comes with Dual SIM
support as well as a microSD slot to expand the storage to up to 32GB.
The phone then features an integrated FM radio
receiver, so you can listen to music anywhere you go. More importantly you can
do that while using your favorite pair of headphones by connecting them to the
available 3.5mm audio jack.
Lastly, the ENERGY E240S supports Bluetooth
2.1, vibrate function (with a
programmable shortcut key) and torch mode.
