CTL has announced the imminent launch of a new
Chromebook equipped with an 11.6 inch non-glare display and offering a choice
of either a dual-core or quad-core Intel Apollo Lake processor. Taking the form
of the CTL Chromebook J41 the system has been primarily designed for education
applications. The J41 Chromebook comes equipped with a rugged case design which
also offers some water resistance to spillages over the keyboard as well as the
ability to take everyday knocks and bumps above and beyond a standard laptop
would be able to endure.
The new Chromebook comes with either a Celeron N3350
or Celeron N3450 processor, supported by 4 or 8 GB of RAM as well as a choice
between 16 or 32 GB of internal storage. A handy microSD card slot is also
available to expand your internal storage even further if required. The
Chromebook also provides connectivity via wireless and Bluetooth and can be
equipped with an optional IPS touchscreen display if desired and budgets will
stretch.
Other features include 2 x USB Type-C ports, 2 x USB
3.0 ports as well as a front facing HD camera. Unfortunately, no information on
pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by CTL, but as soon
as information comes to light, we will keep you updated as always.
