Brendan Dawes has unveiled a new version of his
original Plastic Player open source analog interface for digital music, now
offering a smaller music controller all housed in a 3D printed enclosure,
complete with new electronics. The Plastic Player 2 is powered by a Raspberry
Pi mini PC and equipped with an Espruino Wifi and 128 x 32 SPI OLED available from
the Adafruit online store, together with a few other components.
The Plastic Player 2 offers users a NFC based
Spotify controller using the Mopidy Server. If you fancy building your very own
Brendan has kindly published everything you need via his Github page. Enabling
anyone to build their own and of course improve on it or tweak it as desired.
