Camera manufacturer Panavision has this week
unveiled its new Panavision DXL2 Millennium camera that comes equipped with an
8K RED Sensor offering 16 Stops, 35 Megapixels and 1,600 Native ISO. The
Panavision DXL2 8K camera fitted with the RED Monstro sensor offers

60 frames per second, and boasts the quietest signal-to-noise ratios on the
market. When combined with the Panavision large format lenses, the DXL system
offer creators “the optimum system for creating the unmatched aesthetic of
large format cinematography”, says Panavision.
As explained in the video the Millenium DXL2 camera
uses RED’s Monstro 8K VistaVision sensor, providing users with 16-bit, 8,192 x
4,320 RAW output with a massive 16 stops of dynamic range. The Millennium DXL2
range of cameras and lenses has been created to offer filmmakers 8K@ 60fps

interchangeable Flexible Modules enabling filmmakers to customise the body
shape, function and design of their system.

more depending on your camera rig setup. For more details on the Millennium
