Pioneer has announced the availability this week of
new USB Type-C products in the form of a “versatile” Pioneer docking station,
Pioneer portable external SSD and Pioneer Multipart adapter all of which are
now available to purchase from online retailers such as Amazon and Newegg in
the US. The new Pioneer products will also soon be available throughout Europe
and available to purchase from Amazon UK in the near future says Pioneer.
The Pioneer Versatile Docking Station has been
designed to provide an easy way for users to “build a super powerful personal
workstation” says Pioneer. Offering a simple design, compatible with Apple’s
MacBooks and Thunderbolt computers. Only a single USB-C connection is required
to attach all devices, with support for Windows dual-screen output, as well as
providing the ability to charge your device and “greatly enhance your work
efficiency”, explains Pioneer.
The Pioneer Multiport Adapter is also compatible
with Apple MacBooks as well as a variety of notebooks equipped with USB Type-C
ports offering support and output for 4K Ultra HD videos via a HDMI connection.
The multiport adapter can also be used to charge your device and is equipped
with a handy SD card reader, and multiple USB expanders can be used together
simultaneously.
Finally the Pioneer External Portable SSD is small
enough to fit in your pocket and is equipped with a USB-C Gen2 high-speed
interface offering transfer speeds of up to 480 MBps. The external SSD supports
both Mac and Windows operating systems the rugged design is also vibration
resistant to keep your data safe.
