MSI has today announced the availability of its new
previously unveiled mini PC the MSI Cubi 3 Silent, which as the name suggests
is equipped with a silent fanless cooling system, is now available to purchase
equipped with an Intel Celeron 3865U Kaby Lake processor from US$ 190. MSI is also
making available higher specification systems with higher price tags if you
need more processing power and your budget will stretch.
For example, a barebones version equipped with an
Intel Core i5-7200U processor is priced at US$ 390 at Amazon. While Newegg is
listing the new MSI Cubi 3 Silent mini PC equipped with a Pentium 4415U
processor supported by 4GB of RAM and fitted with 32GB of solid-state storage
together with a larger 500GB hard drive and preloaded with Microsoft’s latest
Windows 10 Pro operating system for under US$ 360.
The MSI Cubi 3 Silent mini PC measures just 6.3 x
4.3 x 2.7 inches and is available in both black and silver finishes And is
capable of accepting up to 32GB of DDR4-2133 memory, and supports M.2 solid
state drives and/or 2.5 inch hard drives or solid state drives (SSD).
Connections on the mini PC include 4 x USB 3.1 Type-A ports, 1 x HDMI 2.0 and 1
x DisplayPort 1.2 together with dual Gigabit Ethernet 2 x USB 2.0 ports. Connectivity
on the mini PC is provided by support for wireless 802.11ac and MSI supply a
65-watt power adapter.
