Meizu E3 is expected to arrive in three weeks but
its specs already leaked on TENAA. The phone was listed in two variants - M851M
and M851Q where the main difference is the network bands, while all the other
specs are the same. The new midranger will come with a tall 18:9 screen,
side-mounted fingerprint scanner and dual camera on the back in a similar setup
to the iPhone X.
The 5.99” screen will come with 18:9 ratio and Full
HD+ resolution. Its chipset is unnamed, but it might be the upcoming Helio P70,
which ahs 8 CPU cores, clocked at up to 1.8 GHz. The RAM will be either 4 GB or
6 GB, while the internal storage varies from 32 to 128 GB. On top of that, the
Meizu E3 will have a microSD slot for up to 128 GB storage, so expect a wide
variety of version and prices when the phone is announced.
The back camera is vertically aligned with a single
LED flash below. According to TENAA, the setup is 12 MP + 20 MP. The selfie
snapper is 8 MP. We’ve already seen a fingerprint scanner on the side in the
Meizu M6s, and the Chinese manufacturer is implementing it here as well. This
means the physical home button is gone and is replaced by a small circle called
Super mBack that supports most of the gestures we’ve previously seen in Meizu
phones.
Meizu E3 will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Flyme
6 on top. The battery is 3,300 mAh, but we don’t know yet if it will come with
the 18W fast-charging the company usually provides. There will be three colors
to choose from - Obsidian Black, Champagne Gold, and Dark Blue.
