Leica as this week
unveiled a new addition to their range to celebrate this year’s Winter Olympics
2018 event currently taking place in Pyeongchang County, South Korea, launching
the new limited edition Leica Q “Snow” camera. The special edition Leica Q
camera has been created in collaboration with Swiss Olympic gold medallist,
world champion snowboarder on the halfpipe and dedicated Leica photographer
Iouri Podladtchikov.
Based on the original Leica Q model normally
finished with a with silver anodised top deck, baseplate and controls on the
top deck in silver. The new Leica Q “Snow” by Iouri Podladtchikov is finished
in a pure white trim in premium real leather and for the first time on a Leica
camera, is equipped with an accessory shoe cover made from aluminium.
The limited edition Winter Olympics 2018 Leica
camera is available as a special edition set and includes the camera body, a
soft leather case in white and a colour-matched carrying strap. All of which
will be available to purchase in selected Leica Stores during March 2018.
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been
released as yet by Leica, but as soon as information comes to light, we will
