Avenir Telecom presented an new addition to
its product lineup and it carries the famous Energizer brand. It is the
Energizer HARDCASE H240S, a rugged,
compact mobile phone. The company claims its the world’s 1st 4G rugged
phone and it includes a powerful 2000mAh battery and a 2.4″ QVGA display.
Of course, carrying a big brand name like Energizer
means that it features a long battery life and that’s true, as the 2000mAh
battery offers up to 9.5 days of standby and 12 hours of talk time. What’s
more, the Energizer HARDCASE H240S is ultra-durable. With IP68 certificarion,
it is resistant to damage from water or dust. It is waterproof for 30 minutes
up to a depth of 1.2 meters and sports reinforced materials so it can withstand
being dropped from a height of up to 1.2 meters.
Devices of this kind usually have poor camera
performance but this is not the case with the H240S as it has a respectable 5MP
Sony camera. Despite the fact that it is a bar phone, it comes with Android OS
that runs on Mediatek MT6737M Quad Core 1.1 GHz SoC accompanied by 1GB of RAM
and 8GB of internal storage. As far as the rest of the hardware is concerned,
it sportss 4G/LTE throughput of up to 150/50 Mbps with VOLTE support. Lastly,
it is a dual SIM device and has an SD card slot that can host memory up to
32GB.
Avenir Telecom is a France-based company that under
the license from Energizer offers a range of 13 mobiles, among them 7
smartphones in 4 distinct ranges: Hardcase (resistant smartphones), Power Max
(smartphones with long-lasting batteries), Energy Plus (smartphones with
protection accessories included) and Energy (mobile phones). You can find out
