New Xiaomi Mi 7 rumor contradicting
everything we’ve said before, at least design wise. This time around we have a
look at some of the most realistic renders of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship we’ve
seen thus far.
In the image above we have the Mi 7 sporting a very
similar design to the Apple iPhone X, with no bezels around the entire frame,
exception made for the topmost part of the phone which is where all the sensors
and the selfie camera are placed; definitely a better design choice and a very
plausible one as well.
Moving to the back of the phone, we find a dual
camera setup, but unlike what we saw in previous rumors, we now have them
arranged horizontally. Once again, this is more likely to be true as the Xiaomi
Mi 6 came with a similar design and there’s really no reason to change that.
Lastly, another detail makes these latest renders
more realistic – the fingerprint scanner on the back of the handset. While we
know Xiaomi are one of the tech leading companies in the world, an
under-display fingerprint scanner isn’t that easy to implement, as Apple has
shown. This means that an “ordinary” fingerprint scanner is most likely what
we’re going to find on the Mi 7, of course we hope Xiaomi will prove us wrong.
From previous rumors we “know” the Xiaomi Mi 7 will
be sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, a 5.65-inch display with a
18:9 aspect ratio, dual glass, metal frame design, support for wireless
charging and much more.
