MacBook owners searching for a versatile MacBook
USB-C Hub may be interested in a new piece of hardware which has been created
by Vistar and offers four display ports that support 1080p and 4K ultra HD
video outputs, an SD and micro-SD card slot to transfer photos and videos and
multiple ports for USB-3.1 and USB-C providing superfast data transfer and
power delivery depending on your requirements.
Launched via Kickstarter this month the Vistar
MacBook USB-C Hub is now available to back with earlybird pledges starting from
just US$ 59 or roughly £ 43, providing a considerable US$ 65 off the recommended
retail price of US$ 124. If all goes well and the Kickstarter goal of US$ 40,000 is
reached shipping is expected to take place during March 2018.
Thanks to its engineers equipping the hub with two
SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Type-A ports, the Vistar multiport Hub has plenty of room
for your additional peripherals, and supports simultaneously connect up to 2
USB-A peripherals to a USB-C enabled laptop enabling users to transfer
documents, video and music files at up to 5Gb/s. Vistar also supports fast
laptop charging for both 13” 61Watt and 15” 87Watt MacBook Pro models, however
this port cannot be used for data transmission. While the USB Type-C 3.0 port
supports only data transfer rates up to 5Gbps.
