Sennheiser has unveiled a new pair of flagship headphones in
the form of the Sennheiser HD 820, which are fitted with unique glass
transducer covers that minimise resonances. The closed type headphones include technology which
has been added to provide a “breathtakingly transparent and natural” sound says
Sennheiser and have been developed by a team based in Germany to give
incredibly realistic sounding audio.
The Sennheiser HD 820 headphone design includes
handcrafted microfiber ear pads to provide a soft and comfortable fit and
excellent “attenuation” of ambient noise, all finished with a robust metal
headband but includes an inner damping element. The headphones are supplied
with silverplated OFC cables and low capacitance, balanced 4.4 mm gold plug.
Included in the box is a ¼” (6.35 mm) stereo jack plug, 4.4 mm Pentaconn stereo
jack plug, USB flash drive (SD-U16L version) with instruction manual (as PDF
file) and individually diffuse-field frequency response curve, microfiber cloth
and XLR-4 connector.
