Nokia 6 (2018)

After what can be considered a year of success for HMD, the company is keen to start their new schedule of launches for 2018. The company successfully brought back the Nokia’s naming to the smartphone scenario with pretty successful handsets like the Nokia 6.

Apparently, the company has chosen to keep the names of one of its smartphones launched during this year, The Nokia 6, opting for only putting the year edition (2018) along the name to differ from the previous models.

Earlier this month a variant of the Nokia 6 (2018) was spotted in the Certification Regulatory department of TENAA, showing a smartphone packing an octa-core processor which is believed to be the Snapdragon 660. Just today a new variant was spotted in the TENNA’s listing, this time showing what should be a weaker variant of the same handset.

This new Nokia 6 (2018) variant have a difference on its display, while the first model was listed with an 18:9 aspect ratio, this new model is coming with a 5.5-inch display with 1920×1080 resulting in a standard 16:9 aspect.

The listing also reveals that this new model will arrive with an octa-core of 2.2Ghz, this may in a point of confusion since this variant can be either equipped with the Snapdragon 660 or with the weaker Snapdragon 630. Memory RAM will keep the same standard for both variants, 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage.

Camera wise the Nokia 6 (2018) will pack a 16MP main rear camera and an 8MP front-facing snapper. To keep the lights on, there is a 3,000 mAh battery. Sadly the Nokia 6 (2018) will arrive with Nougat 7.1.1, but considering HMD compromise with updates, we consider that this may be fixed in a short time.
