The renders of the Moto Z3 and the Z3 Play are
freshly out if the rumor mill after renders of the G6 line of smartphones were
leaked. The Z3 would succeed the Z2 in the flagship Z-line of smartphones by
Motorola.
The renders reveal a few design facets of the Z3
series. For starters, the display will be a full-screen with an expected aspect
ratio of 18:9, keeping up with the trend. The poster that leaked, reveals that
the display will measure 6-inches. Other features include “Smart Camera” and
“Moto Experiences” which I am guessing is an array of new Moto mods. The back
features a dual camera setup, with the signature Moto logo sitting right
underneath it on the glass back.
Another peculiar visible detail is the absence of
the fingerprint scanner, or rather, repositioning. If you look closely at the
right side of the frame, you can see a little crevice, which from my experience
makes a place for the fingerprint scanner. Just yesterday, the Meizu M6S was
released with a side mounted fingerprint scanner, a practice that Xperia phones
have followed through the years.
Personally speaking, this makes for the best
positioning, since it is the one place where my finger always goes while
unlocking my phone. Not the back or the bottom bezel, but at the power button.
The other render shows the Moto Z3 Play featuring a 5G Moto mod, bringing 5G
capabilities to a 4G device. Motorola seems to have a lot in store for us, so
stay tuned for more updates.
