Meizu was expected to launch the M6S (also rumored
as Blue Charm S) in the last weeks of 2017, but that got postponed to January.
Today media representatives received an invite for an event on January 17 at
the Beijing National Convention Center.
The phone is expected to be the company's first
device with 18:9 ratio screen, and it will have HD+ resolution, as seen in some
live images. It will most likely have a fingerprint scanner on the side, making
it the first Meizu phone without a home button on the front.
The Meizu M6S should have Exynos 7872 chipset,
manufactured by Samsung. It is built on the 14nm process and has two Cortex-A72
cores and four Cortex-A53 more. The GPU is Mali-G71 and LTE Cat.7. According to
the AnTuTu benchmark, the memory is 3 GB with 32 GB storage.
