A new 360-degree camera for the iPhone promises ease
of use and very good quality of 360 photos, videos, as well as a few other fun
effects. The Insta360 Nano S is the newest product by Insta360, a company that
has already made a few well-received 360 iPhone cameras. This latest one plugs
into the Lightning port of your iPhone, so you basically have to hold your
phone upside down when you shoot with it.
The Nano S itself is a tiny, pockatable 360-camera
that records 4K video and takes 20MP photos. The new camera comes as the
successor to the original Insta360 Nano and it has ironed out some sore points:
it now has an easy to set up and use livestream feature (it can livestream to
both YouTube and Facebook), it no longer has alerts in Chinese and it offers a
countdown timer.
What's cool about this camera is that it does not
have any visible "stitching" artifacts, easily visible on other rival
360 cameras. There are a few cool ways to display your photos, including a fun
Tiny Planet look.
The Insta360 Nano S is available on Amazon, the
company's webstore and the price is set at US$ 240.
