Smartphone maker Gome has today quietly unveiled a
smartphone that features 3 methods of biometric security and all for a low
price of only 1399 Yuan.
As Chinese phone makers have added new ways of
securing your smartphone, they’ve also tended to take other options away. While
we can easily find a phone with a fingerprint scanner, or even a fingerprint
scanner and face detection feature, we don’t usually see phones released with
those to security features and an iris scanner.
This is what makes the newly announced Gome U7
rather impressive, well that and the low price and full screen 18:9 ratio
display. As far as we’re aware the Gome U7 will only be available in China,
which is unfortunate as there are going to be plenty of international smartphone
fans that we’re sure would love to give the U7 a home.
In addition to the triple biometric security
features, the U7 also boasts a 5.99 inch 2160 x 1080 panel, neatly fixed to an
all-metal frame carefully policed to a high-gloss finish. Not only secure and
attractive the U7 also has neat hardware features including options of either
4GB or 6GB RAM, a Mediatek Helio P25 octa-core chipset and dual front 13
megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor wish super fast PDAF autofocus.
If all that wasn’t enough to get your attention then
this 1399 Yuan smartphone features Gome’s latest OS 2.0 with deep AI
integration used in the custom camera app for automatically switching modes
depending on the scene the camera picks up.
