The officials of Gionee Philippines met with
select members of the local tech media to announced that they'll bring two new
phones in the country soon. Gionee will soon bring the M7 Power and S11 Lite
mid-range smartphones with the trendy 18:9 screen aspect ratio in the
Philippines this March of 2018.
Gionee showed us the prototype models of the phones,
but they did not comment on the official specs of the said devices yet. The
Gionee M7 Power will go with the bigger 6-inch FullView display with 1440 x 720
resolution. It'll be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 435 chip, Adreno 505
graphics, 4 GB RAM, and 64 GB expandable storage up to 256 GB via microSD card
slot.
The main highlight of this device is its MASSIVE
5,000 mAh battery that can last up to 3 days on a single charge. It'll also
have a 13MP f/2.0 PDAF main camera w/ LED flash, 8MP selfie snapper, WiFi, 4G
LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, A GPS, fingerprint scanner, and Android 7.1
Nougat OS w/ Amigo OS 5.0.
The phone measures at 156.3 x 75.6 x 8.6 mm, weighs
at 187 g, and will come in blue, black, and gold colors. On the other hand, the
Gionee S11 Lite is rumored to feature a 5.7-inch screen with 1440 x 720
resolution. It'll be powered by an unknown type of 1.4GHz octa-core processor,
4GB RAM, 32GB storage, and 2,970mAh battery.
Camera-wise, it'll sport a 13MP + 2 MP dual main
cameras, 8MP selfie camera, LTE connectivity, dual SIM card slots, and Android
7.1 Nougat OS with Amigo 5.0 UI skin. In China, the Gionee S11 Lite also known
as F6 is priced at CNY 1,299. Meanwhile, the Gionee M7 Power
retails for CNY 1,999.
