Fitbit is looking to start 2018 strong here in the
Philippines. As a matter of fact, the company has just sent out invites for the
launch of the Fitbit Ionic on January 23! The Fitbit Ionic is a smartwatch /
fitness band that is, as Fitbit put it, designed for your life. As it is a
smartwatch and a fitness band rolled into one, you can expect a combination of
the two's features.
From the smartwatch aspect of things, you will get a
sleek and streamlined design with a beautiful LED touch display. The wristbands
are also made with functionality and style in mind. You can also get smart
notifications, install popular wearable apps, store and play music, and even
make cashless payments through NFC.
With the fitness features it has, you can track your
heart rate, sleeping patterns, all-day activity, cardio fitness level, and swim
activity. You will also get notifications as reminders to move around. It is
also sweat and rain proof and it has a 50-meter water resistance. There is also
a built-in GPS to track your biking and running route.
It is also touted to have a multi-day battery life
so you don't have to worry about charging it every night because it will last
you days. It will come out three color variants for this with the charcoal and
smoke Gray, salt blue and burnt orange and blue gray and silver gray.
