In addition to unveiling their new ECS Liva Z2 which
has been created to replace the older Liva Z system. Elitegroup Computer
Systems or ECS has also been showcasing other mini PC systems at this year’s
Consumer Electronics Show 2018, launching shortly and take the form of the Liva
Q2 and Liva One SoC.
All three new mini PC systems will feature Intel Gemini
Lake low-power processors although each has its specific design and
specifications. ECS is making all three mini PC systems available with 10 watt
Intel Celeron or Pentium Silver Gemini Lake processor options and equipped the
compact computer systems with native support for HDMI 2.0 together with other
features.
The new ECS Liva Q2 can be equipped with up to 64GB
of eMMC storage, and its processor can be supported by a maximum of 4 GB of
RAM. Other features include connectivity via 802.11ac WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet
and Bluetooth 4.1 and included ports take the form of a USB 3.0 Type-C port, a
USB 2.0 Type-A port and ECS has also included a handy microSD card slot for
further expansion if required. An ECS Liva Q2 system equipped with 32 GB of
on-board storage and 4 GB of RAM is expected to be priced at around US$ 164
without any operating system installed, or if you would prefer pre-installed
with Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 operating system for US$ 180.
The ECS Liva One SoC is a more substantial,
traditional looking compact PC which provides users with a single DDR4 SODIMM
slot for memory. Its also equipped with two 2.5 inch drives and an M.2 SSD with
connections taking the form of S/PDIF and COM ports, HDMI 2.0, VGA, 2 x USB 3.0
ports, and 4 x USB 2.0 ports. Unfortunately, no information on worldwide
availability or pricing has been announced as yet for the ECS Liva One SoC.
