HTC hasn’t given up on the flagship phone market and
could be on the verge of releasing something very special indeed.
According to a DigiTimes report, sources close to
HTC have revealed that the forthcoming HTC U12 will be equipped with a 4K resolution
display, Snapdragon 845 chipset, dual rear cameras and be ready for release
early next year.
If these details are accurate it would make the HTC
U12 the worlds third phone to come with a 4K resolution screen behind the Sony
Z5 and XZ, and given that the HTC U11 is a full-screen phone the U12 may be the
first full-screen flagship 4K flagship.
In other news, a more affordable version of the HTC
U11 will go on sale in January next year. This Lite version of the phone will
receive a 5.99inch 2160 x 1080 display, and debut the Snapdragon 660 chipset.
