Acer has this week unveiled new additions to its
range of Acer Swift 3 laptops, now be equipped with the new AMD Ryzen Mobile
processor. Priced at US$ 750 the first Acer Swift 3 notebook will be powered by a
Ryzen 5 2500U, although Acer also offers a Swift 3 fitted with a more powerful
Ryzen 7 2700U processor and twice as much storage US$ 950 if your budget
stretches. Both systems come equipped with 15.6 inch IPS displays providing
users with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The AMD Ryzen Mobile processor in each laptop is
supported by 8GB of RAM and other features the systems include connections in
the form of 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB 2.0 port, 1 x HDMI port, and 1 x USB 3.1
Type-C port. Together with connectivity via 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth and both
laptops have backlit keyboards and handy SD card readers. This US$ 750 laptop is
equipped with 256GB of solid-state storage and AMD’s 2 GHz Ryzen Mobile
quad-core processor with Radeon Vega 8 graphics. While the more expensive model
offers users a faster 2.2 GHz quad-core Ryzen Mobile CPU, supported by Radeon
Vega 10 graphics and 512GB of solid-state storage.
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or
worldwide availability has been released as yet by Acer, but as soon as news
