Earlier this month Samsung uploaded a new video to
its YouTube channel showing the Samsung Galaxy S8 in a new color of Burgundy
Red. Today it became known this phone has set to launch on November 28.
Unfortunately, it’s said this device will be available for purchase in South
Korea only. And we have no idea whether the new Samsung S8 will go on sale on
other markets as well.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Burgundy Red is now renamed to
the Maple Leaf. Probably it’s a better recognizable color name than the
previous one. However, the front side is in pure black, which is makes the
phone look quite aesthetically jointly with the red color back panel.
As for such a decision to launch a new color option
at the end of the year, many think it’s considered with the fact Apple launches
its flagships in the Q3, while Samsung announces the new-gen Galaxy line models
in the Q1. So Apple takes over in the Q4. To challenge this situation the
Korean manufacturer usually comes in with a marketing move such as adding a new
color option to the existing arrangements. This year, the company did the same.
But there is one shortcoming in this campaign – the red color is a feminine
color. So the new Samsung Galaxy S8 will be acquired by females only. Therefore,
most likely the sales won’t get stronger.
At the end, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Maple Leaf Red
will sport the same features as the rest five color options. Thus it will be
packed with a 5.8-inch screen with a resolution of 2960×1440 pixels, Snapdragon
835 chip, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM, 12MP rear camera, and 3000mAh battery. It’s
expected the price tag will remain the same.
