The popularity of personal drones has seen an
astronomical rise in the last few years thanks to its ever-diminishing prices
and the fact that they are an affordable extension of consumers’ smartphones
for taking high quality videos along with brilliant photographs and selfies
from a completely different perspective.
While there are plenty of options to
choose from if you’re looking for an aerial drone that can hover around and
follow you autonomously to capture footage, there are no options if you’re
looking for something similar for your underwater adventures. However, a French
company called Think Think Design has come up with a submarine drone called the
iBubble that allows traveling and underwater shootings like never before.
After running a successful crowdfunding campaign for
the iBubble last year which helped raise more than US$ 201,733 with the help of
15,000-plus supporters, the company has introduced a new, final prototype of
the underwater drone.
The intelligent, user-friendly, and completely autonomous diving drone
can be fitted with a GoPro and it can dive up to a maximum depth of 60 meters.
The gadget can be remotely operated or left on autonomous mode where it
automatically takes footage of the diver with the compatible bracelet without
spoiling the diving experience. Just imagine how cool will it be to capture
stunning footage with a third person POV of you exploring the beautiful world
underneath the sea. It has the potential of taking Instagram travel photography
to a whole new level. The iBubble’s pre-order price is US$ 1999 and it will
retail for US$ 2599 once it goes on sale.
