The Huawei Mate 10 Lite has launched today in
Germany, priced at € 399. Based on current currency rates, that works out to US$ 463. The Mate 10 Lite carries a 5.9-inch LCD display, with a resolution of
1080 x 2160. The aspect ratio works out to 18:9. Under the hood is the Kirin
659 chipset, carrying an octa-core 2.36GHz CPU and the Mali-T830 MP2 GPU.
Both
the back and the front of this handset feature dual-camera setups. The pair on
back weigh in at 16MP and 2MP, while the two in front are 13MP and 2MP. With
the extra lens on both sides of the phone, users can create the bokeh effect
for portraits and selfies.
The Mate 10 Lite comes with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of
native storage. A 256GB capacity microSD slot is available for these seeking
additional storage, and keeping the lights on is a 3340mAh battery. There is a
rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and Android Nougat is pre-installed with
Huawei's EMUI skin on top. Color options are Prestige Gold, Graphite Black, and
Aurora Blue.
Back in September, the Mate 10 Lite debuted in China
as the Huawei Maimang 6. Now available in Germany as the Mate 10 Lite, we
should see more countries in Europe next in line for the device.
