Successor for the very good Chuwi SurBook is already
on the way and today we finally got some solid info about the pricing of the
tablet and even the launch date. While the SurBook Mini shares quite some
hardware like the Celeron N3450 CPU with the bigger and older sibling, there
are some significant differences between the models.
SurBook Mini is coming with a smaller IPS display,
10.8-inch FullHD (1920×1280 pixels) one with 3:2 aspect ratio, fully laminated
and with 450 nits of brightness. Smaller display also means smaller size 268.87×183.95×8.7mm and only 780g of weight.
But it’s equipped with the handy kickstand, which can go all the way up to 125
degrees.
Aside the already mentioned Apollo Lake Celeron
N3450 processor the tablet carries on board 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of internal storage
with the expansion option via microSD card and solid 27.38 Wh battery, which
promises quite alright battery life. It also has pretty good selection of
ports, 2x full sized USB 3.0 and one USB Type-C port.
And now to the important stuff, the official retail
price will be set at 259 dollars and the launch should be happening officially
through Gearbest starting from November 13th to November 20th. And while they
are at it, they also announced that the Indiegogo campaign for the new CoreBook
model will start on November 15th, first 300 backers will get secret perks and
all the subscribers get a US$ 50 discount.
