An image of a certain Xiaomi handset has been seen
on TENAA recently. According to speculations, it could be the much awaited
Redmi Note 5 w/ 18:9 display. Based on the image, it appears that this Xiaomi
handset will be the second phone of the company (Mi MIX 2 is the first) that will jump on to the 18:9 full-screen
bandwagon for that near bezel-less look.
The Redmi phone w/ the model MET7 has a seemingly clad
build quality w/ single camera behind, flash, and fingerprint scanner at the
back. In front, the 18:9 screen is said to be 5.7-inches w/ HD+ 1440 x 720
resolution.
Inside, the phone will be packed w/ the speedier
14nm 64 bit Snapdragon 450 octa core processor w/ the better Adreno 506
graphics unit (versus Snapdragon 435 and Adreno 505, its predecessor), 3 GB
RAM, and 32 GB of built-in internal storage. The rumored Redmi Note 5 could
have a possible price tag of CNY 899 or around PHP 7K.
