It seems that the Redmi 5 model is almost ready for
its official unveiling guys and this recent streak of leaks basically confirms
our thoughts, as Xiaomi is preparing to enter the full-screen display trend and
make it available to the mid-range market segment using this most awaited
model.
According to recent rumors, the Chinese company
plans to launch 3 models with full-screen design, mainly Xiaomi Redmi 5, Xiaomi
Redmi 5 Plus, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, the first two of them with an affordable
price tag of approximately around or under 1000 yuan (US$ 150) and around 1599 Yuan
for the latter. Earlier today another photo of the purported Xiaomi Redmi Note
5 leaked on Weibo and it’s one of the white variant of the
model.
This one is expected to pack a Snapdragon 636 chip
paired with a 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and a dual-camera on the back. The starting
price tag should be set at 1599 yuan (US$ 241). On the other hand, the most
awaited Xiaomi Redmi 5 will probably come with a smaller 5,5 inch display, 18:9
aspect ratio, with a resolution of 720p, while the other two models (Redmi 5
Plus/Redmi Note 5) will be packed with 5.99-inch screens providing 2160 × 1080
pixel resolution. The Redmi 5 Plus will come with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM storage
(the Redmi 5 will feature 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM), and Mediatek P25 chipsets
according to rumors.
