Sharp has just made the Aquos R Compact official, a
smaller handset w/ edge-to-edge 4.9-inch IGZO FHD+ 2032 x 1080 resolution and
fast 120Hz refresh rate. That refresh rate is twice as fast compared w/ almost
every other smartphone in the market right now.
Design-wise, it has curved corners and a notch in
the center to make way for the front camera. It even has IP68 water and dust
resistance. Inside, the phone runs w/ a 64-bit Snapdragon 660 octa core
processor w/ Adreno 512 GPU, 3 GB RAM, and 32 GB storage. It is powered by a 2,500
mAh battery w/ Quick Charge 3.0 technology via USB Type-C.
On the camera part, it has a 16.4 MP main camera and
an 8 MP front facing camera. It has WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and Android 8.0
Oreo operating system w/ EMOPA 7.0 skin. The Sharp Aquos R Compact will be
available this December exclusively on Softbank Japan. It comes in gold,
silver, black, and white.
