The Fan Edition of the Samsung Galaxy Note EE is now
available in the Philippines, the company previously launched the handset in
South Korea and Malaysia. The device is the recycled Samsung Galaxy Note 7
smartphone.
After the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was recalled,
Samsung decided to recycle the handset and sell it as the Samsung Galaxy Note
Fan Edition. The handset has many of the specifications of the original Note 7.
Samsung replaced the battery on the handset with a smaller 3200 mAh battery.
Samsung also made some other minor changes to the
handset, this included their Bixby voice assistant and a dedicated Bixby
button. The device is available in a range of different colors which included
Black Onyx, Blue Coral, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium.
Samsung are selling their Fan Edition of the Galaxy
Note smartphone for PHO 32,990 in The Philippines, this is about US$ 640 at the
current exchange rate. Samsung ended up recalling millions of units of the
Galaxy Note 7 after the handset caught fire.
The company is only selling a small portion of these
as the Note FE.The company does not have any plans to launch the Galaxy Note FE
outside of Asia and Samsung are selling the handsets in limited quantities in
each country they launch it in.
