Hardware manufacturer Ring has this week expanded
its smart home range by unveiling a new home security system Ring Protect,
offering a more affordable alternative to systems such as Nest.
The Ring Protect home security system starter kit is
priced at US$ 199 and provides a base station, keypad, contact sensor, passive
infrared motion sensor and a Z-Wave extender.
