Razer is looking to upgrade their popular ultrabook,
the Blade Stealth, with a quad-core 8th Gen Intel Core i7 Processor. This
brings in more processing power but making power consumption more efficient.
The 8th Gen Core i7-8550U processor brings in two
more cores. It also has Intel's 8th Gen Coffee Lake micro-architecture, the
latest iteration of the Skylake and Kaby Lake. It also has a 13.3 inch QHD+
IGZO touch-display, 512 GB PCIe M.2 SSD and 16 GB of RAM.
As you can see, the Blade Stealth is not sporting a
dedicated graphics card. That's why Razer is also releasing the Razer Core V2. The
Razer Core V2 is a desktop graphics card enclosure that you can then connect to
the Blade Stealth to supply it with more graphical power. Improvements from the
original Razer Core V2 includes a dual Thunderbolt 3 controller that gives all
functionality their own separate lane. It also has a better space clearance for
taller graphics card including the Nvidia Quadro.
The new Razel Blade Stealth will retail at USD 1,699
which roughly translates around PHP 87K. The Razer Core V2 on the other hand
will retail at US$ 499 or around PHP 26K.
