Microsoft made their new Surface Pro LTE official
earlier in the year and we previously heard a rumor that the device would
launch in December. Microsoft has now official confirmed that the LTE Surface
Pro is coming in December and there will be two different models at launch.
The news was announced by Microsoft’s Panos Panoy at
Microsoft’s Future Decoded event in London, the device comes with LTE Advanced
that will offer impressive speed of up to 450 Mbps. It uses a Cat 9 Modem which
offers the faster speed and it will support around 20 different cellular bands.
There will be a couple of models available in
December, an Intel i5 version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, pricing for
this model start at US$ 1,149. Another model will also come with an Intel Core i5
processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage, this model will set you back US$ 1,449.
When the Surface Pro LTE was announced earlier in
the year, Microsoft also said that they would release versions of the device
with Intel Core i7 processors. As yet there are no details on when these models
will launch.We will have more details about Microsoft’s new LTE enabled Surface
