The sequel to the Huawei Y6 Pro has just been
silently introduced in Europe. The budget-friendly smartphone will soon be
available for purchase in select markets for only € 179. Potential customers can
choose either of the three color options: black, gold and silver.
Unlike the original model that packs a MediaTek
chipset inside, Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) is equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core
Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. However, it has the same amount of memory:
2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.
The only downside, when compared to the previous
model, is the smaller battery. While the Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) packs a generous
4,000 mAh battery, the new smartphone comes with a much lower 3,020 mAh battery
inside.
Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) retains the same 5-inch display
with HD (720p) resolution but runs a newer Android 7.0 Nougat operating system
with EMUI 5.1 on top. Surprisingly, the smartphone has a rear-mounted
fingerprint sensor, along with 13-megapixel primary and secondary 5-megapixel
selfie cameras.
Initially, Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) will be launched in
France, Germany, and Italy, but the smartphone will slowly be rolled out all
over Europe in the coming weeks.
