Google Pixelbook


Google just announced Pixelbook, the company’s latest convertible laptop running Chrome OS with support for Google Assistant with a dedicated Assistant key. It has a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with 3:2 aspect ratio and a thin backlit keyboard with soft-touch keys. The trackpad uses new, special touch-processing algorithms to navigate accurately, says Google. It is powered by 7th generation Intel Core i5 / i7 processor, 8GB / 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB SSD storage.

It has a 4-in-1 design, so you can use it as a laptop, fold the keyboard underneath to watch videos, read a book or take notes in tablet mode or prop it into tent mode Pixelbook can also automatically connect to your Pixel phone’s data without creating a hotspot.

Pixelbook Pen that is available separately lets you jot notes, drawing and designing. You can just press and hold the button on the Pixelbook Pen and circle an image or text. You can also look up words, find out more about a picture, add an event to your calendar, and more.

Google Pixelbook comes in three configurations starting at US$ 999 for the Core i5, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD version, US$ 1199 for the Core i5, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD version and US$ 1649 for the Core i7, 16GB RAM and 256GB NVMe SSD version in the U.S. and the Pixelbook Pen costs US$ 99.

Both these will be available from Google Store and major retailers, including Best Buy, in the U.S., Canada and the U.K . Pre-orders start today and shipping starts October 31st.
