Google Pixel 2 And Pixel 2 XL


Google has officially made the next generation Pixels official, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Both are equipped w/ beastly specs and the best of Android yet. The Pixel 2 is the smaller Pixel equipped w/ a 5 inch 1080p AMOLED screen w/ 100000:1 super contrast ratio. It's powered by Qualcomm's 64 bit Snapdragon 835 octa core processor clocked at 2.45 GHz and Adreno 540 graphics. It's coupled by 4 GB RAM and has up to 128 GB of expandable storage up to 256 GB.

The Pixel 2 XL is the more exciting Pixel equipped w/ a much better and larger 6 inch QHD+ P-OLED 18:9 full screen display w/ 3D Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has much less bezels despite having a stereo speaker setup.
It's also powered Qualcomm's 64 bit Snapdragon 835 octa core processor clocked at 2.45 GHz, Adreno 540 graphics, 4 GB RAM, and up to 128 GB of expandable storage to 256 GB. Both has aluminum metal clad designs w/ hybrid coating, Active Edge for quick squeeze to launch Google Assistant easily, fingerprint scanner behind, and IP67 water and dust resistance. Sadly, Google has decided to ditch the headphone jack for both.


Both phones also highlights an improved single 12.2 MP main camera w/ 1.4μm pixel size and f/1.8 aperture size. It also has Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS for stabilization, and dual tone LED flash. In front, there's a single 8 MP f/2.4 sensor w/ w/ 1.4μm pixel size. The new Pixels also lets you take portrait shots w/ background blurs from both the back and front cameras. Both also WiFi, 3G, HSPA+, LTE w/ VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS, A GPS, GLONASS, and Android 8.0 Oreo OS.

The new Pixels are also the first phones in the world to use built-in eSIM technology. It will work of you're a Project Fi subscriber, Google will use the built-in eSIMs to activate your cellular account.


The Google Pixel 2 has a starting price of US$ 649 (64 GB) up tp US$ 749 (128 GB). The Google Pixel 2 XL will retail for US$ 849 (64 GB) and US$ 949 (128 GB). Both will first be available in Australia, Germany, Canada, India, UK and U.S. and will be released in Italy, Singapore and Spain later this year.
