While Chuwi managed to launch some great pieces like
the LapBook or SurBook lines, all of the models were equipped with slightly
sub-par Intel Celeron N3540 processor. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty nifty
piece of silicon, but still everybody hoped for something stronger. Well the
prayers were heard, because the newly announced Chuwi CoreBook will be running
the Intel Core M3-7Y30 processor.
Chuwi CoreBook will be apparently following in the
steps of the SuBook with the 2-in-1 convertible design and with the access to
the optional detachable adjustable keyboard that can go up to 165 degree angle.
It will have a 13.3-inch FullHD resolution display with 2.5D glass design
(fully laminated one thankfully), 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal eMMC 5.1
storage. That’s my only worry so let’s hope they will add an easily accessible
M.2 SSD slot like with the LapBooks. There will be also a Touch ID available
for added security so kudos for that too.
Once again they will be trying to partially fund it
through the Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign and it’s not a surprise, because
with SurBook they actually raised over a million dollars there. The campaign
should start mid-November and you should subscribe to their newsletter to get
into it early. There will be allegedly 300 units for super early bird price so
should be worth it. You can also try your luck in the giveaway event until
November 10th so make sure to check it out too.
