Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 S is an unannounced
entry-level tablet aimed at children. Sadly, the slate was not introduced at
the last Unpacked event where Samsung announced a couple of wearable devices,
so we strongly believe the tablet will quietly make its debut on the market.
The budget-friendly tablet will come in two
variations: Wi-Fi only and LTE. Both models will run Android 7.0 Nougat
operating system right out of the box, but it's unlikely that they will receive
any major updates in the future.
Specs-wise, the Galaxy Tab A2 S sports an 8-inch
display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The tablet will be equipped with a
1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB
expandable storage.
Two cameras will be included as well: an 8-megapixel
rear-facing snapper and a secondary 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The slate will
be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and will feature a USB Type-C port as well.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 S is expected to cost around
€ 200 in Europe, but the LTE model will sell for € 100 more. Finally, the tablet
will be available in two color options: black and gold.
