Most people like the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con
controllers for gaming, but if you want something more retro, and in gamepad
form, you might be interested to learn that PowerA has recently unveiled two
new controllers designed for the Switch, with one model having a cool Zelda
theme, while the other has a Mario theme, and with each model priced at just US$ 30.
And just so you know, both controllers are
officially licensed by Nintendo, so these are official controllers if that kind
of thing matters to you. They look pretty standard in terms of design, but are
a bit more unique than the Joy-Con controllers. They have interchangeable
analog caps depending on your personal preference, and also a 10-foot removable
USB cable. These controllers have been listed as being released on the 23rd of
October and pre-orders are currently being accepted on Amazon.
The Joy-Con controllers are perfectly fine for
gaming, but everyone’s tastes run different. Some like them, others would
prefer controllers like this. At least you will have a controller with some
style whether you are a Zelda or a Mario fan. Its nice to have options.
