MSI has is this week announced upgrades to its small
form factor gaming desktop system the Vortex G25 which will now be equipped
with Intel’s new 8th-gen Core processors and higher specification components.
The upgrades should provide up to a 40 percent
increase in performance over pervious models says MSI, who is also offering
configuration options that include NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics with 3GB or
6GB of GDDR5 RAM or GeForce GTX 1070 graphics with 8GB of RAM.
Vortex G25 specifications include:
• Support for up to 64GB of DDR-2400 RAM (4 SODIMM
slots)
• 2.5 inch drive bay for a hard drive or SSD
• 2 NVMe M.2 SSD slots
• 1 Thunderbolt 3 ort
• 1 USB 3.1 Type-C port
• 3 USB 3.0 ports
• 2 HDMI 2.0 ports
• Headphone out and mic in jacks
• 192 kHz/24-bit audio
Vortex G25 adopts the latest Intel 8th Gen Core
processor based on the new Z370 platform. The Core i7-8700 processor comes with
6 cores / 12 Thread computing, and a turbo mode overclockable from 3.2 GHz to
4.3 GHz (Multi Core). The Cooler Boost Titan, consists of dual Whirlwind Blade
fans with 8 heatpipes and well-endowed airflows for both GPU & CPU, is able
to enhance over 30% performance over its last generation. Vortex G25 can fully
handle this incredible power with excellent Cooler Boost Titan thermal solution
providing stability and performance.

worldwide availability has been released as yet MSI, but as soon as information
