Little Pepper announces another new phone and
another device that closely resembles an another model already on the market.
Little Pepper was once one of the big names in
Chinese smartphone innovation. Back in the early years of Chinese tech, Little
Pepper drove the smartphone market and was the first company to release a
dual-core phone and then the first to release a quad-core handset.
Since those heady times though, Little Pepper has
struggled to compete with larger names and has aimed at staying relevant by
simply cloning other brands handsets. The V11 is another example of using
another brands design to try and kick start excitement in the Little Pepper
brand again, and as you can see from the image above the V11 looks a lot like
the Samsung Galaxy S8!
Although the Little Pepper V11 does have that
Samsung look, some of the specifications are really very good and hint that
this smartphone might be more upmarket than it’s cloned appearance might
suggest. According to Little Pepper the V11 will have a front 8 megapixel
camera but dual rear cameras headed up by a main 16 megapixel sensor. The V11
also has a 3000 mAh battery and appears to come with a full-width display, but
at this time we haven’t got the spec details.
While the Little Pepper V11 might actually be a good
phone is irrelevant though as Little Pepper generally only sells its phones in
China, and even those of us happy to import the phone might be put off by the
inclusion of an AliYun OS operating system.
