Honor already sent invitations for its unveiling
event set to take place in China on October 11. That's one week after the
Google's big Pixel 2 reveal and five days before Huawei announces its new Mate
series.
However, the Honor 7X, the smartphone that will be
introduced next month, will not be competing with either of the two series of
flagships since this will be a mid-range device. Although the smartphone will
be initially launched in China, it's safe to say that it will be rolled out to
other countries as well. Honor 7X is said to hit the shelves for as low as US$ 270, but the 4GB RAM model will cost US$ 315.
Up until today, there were few details about the
phone's specs, but a new report coming from China reveals more information
about the Honor 7X. Apparently, the smartphone sports a 5.93-inch display with
full HD (1080p) resolution, and a dual-camera setup (12MP + 20MP).
On the inside, Honor's mid-range handset will be
equipped with a 2.36 GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor, coupled with either 3 or
4GB RAM, and 64GB expandable storage. Furthermore, the Honor 7X will feature an
8-megapixel selfie camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone will
be powered by a 3,240 mAh battery, but it's yet unclear whether or not it will
come with Android Oreo on board.
