Garmin has announced vivomove HR, its first hybrid
smartwatch that comes with a built-in digital sub-display. It has activity
tracking, Elevate wrist-based heart rate, smart notifications and a touchscreen
display.
Precision hands show the time, messages, heart rate
and more. The smart display only appears when the user turns their wrist. The
vívomove HR comes with Garmin connectivity, fitness and wellness monitoring
features. It comes with both leather and silicone strap options and different
case materials including a higher end stainless steel finish. Users will be
able to control music on their smartphone from the vívomove HR and send an
alert to locate a misplaced smartphone. Vivomove HR can also monitor stress
throughout the day, and works with the Garmin Connect Mobile app. It retails
for US$ 199.99, and US$ 299.99 for the upgraded version.
Garmin also launched the vivosport a smart activity
tracker that uses always-on power efficient Garmin Chroma color touchscreen
tech for its display. It has a heart rate monitor, offers notifications and has
a LiveTrack option that lets friends and family see where you are in real time
thanks to built-in GPS. The vivosport retails for US$ 199.99, with three different
band color options.
