Garmin has today unveiled a new range of fitness
trackers called the Vivofit Jr. 2, which have been specifically designed for
children and have been created in partnership with Disney. Available in a range
of different finishes depicting BB-8, The Avengers, Minnie Mouse, and other
popular characters from Star Wars and Marvel comics.
The Vivofit Jr. 2 has been designed to be worn all
day long and can even track sleep as well as, steps and minutes of activity. It
also waterproof and is capable of providing tracking statistics for a whole 12
months on just a single charge.
Building on the technology used in the original
Vivofit Jr fitness tracker the second generation is now equipped with a colour
screen and branded bands. Characters from the bands will also show up a mobile
app that connects to the fitness tracker.
The Vivofit Jr. 2 fitness tracker will soon be
available to purchase for US$ 99.99 and additional bands will be available priced
at US$ 29.99 and can be used to open up different game themes inside the companion
application.
