Apple unveiled today a new high end line of
"cans," the Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones. Powered by the Apple
W1 chip, the headphones more easily and efficiently pair to an iPhone, iPad, or
a Mac via Bluetooth. According to Apple, with both wireless and noise
cancellation turned on, the Beats Studio3 Wireless headsets provide about
22-hours`of battery life for users. That is 10-hours longer than the previous
Studio model lasted. A special "Fast Fuel" feature allows users to
obtain 3-hours of power for the
headphones after just 10-minutes of charging.
Thanks to a feature called Pure Adaptive Noise
Cancellation (Pure ANC), the headsets use algorithms to determine certain
things about a user's environment which helps the accessories block out noises
from the environment. Besides blocking out sounds from the outside world, the
so-called Pure ANC feature also analyzes how well the headset fits and covers
up sound leaks caused by things like hair, glasses, ear shapes and movement
while listening.
Additionally, to "ensure optimal audio
fidelity," the Pure ANC feature on the Studio3 Wireless headphones scan up
to 50,000 times a second in the background to calibrate the sound. Users can
also skip songs, turn Siri on and change the volume using controls found on the
headset. And thanks to the built in-mic, those sporting the Beats Studio3
Wireless headphones will be able to make/take phone calls.
The Beats
Studio3 Wireless headsets are available from Apple's online store in Red, Matte
Black, White, Porcelain Rose, Blue and Shadow Gray, all priced at US$ 349.99.
