Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the phone will come
with dedicated dual SIM slots along with a microSD card slot that accepts cards
up to 128GB. As the image shows, these are arranged in a single tray. All of
earlier Xiaomi’s Redmi smartphones came with hybrid dual SIM slots.
Image on certification site showed 13MP front camera
for the top-end version of the phone and even showed a flash, but the official
press shots didn’t show the flash. Now the CEO has confirmed that the phone
will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera along with flash for capturing
better selfies in low lighting conditions. These are expected only in the
top-end variant.
