Ulefone has followed the launch of the flagship
Ulefone T1 with a more affordable model named the Ulefone S8 Pro boasting dual
camera support, and more. For those of you with a little knowledge of Ulefone,
you will remember that the phone had already launched a dual Camera S8 earlier
in the year, but that model has now been superseded with the updated S8 Pro.
The Ulefone S8 Pro runs a dual
camera set up on the rear of the phone using a main 13 megapixel sensor and secondary
5 megapixel sensor. This is a huge upgraded compared to similarly priced phones
and allows the S8 Pro user to take photos with a similar Bokeh effect that is
usually reserved for DSLR users. The selfie specs are also right up there too
with a front facing 5 megapixel sensor but with the addition of a front LED
flash.
As far as the internal hardware specifications
compare to the original S8, the S8 Pro sees multiple update from 4G LTE
support, powerful quad-core Mediatek MT6737 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal
memory and 3000 mAh battery. The S8 Pro also comes with a rapid fingerprint
scanner with an unlock speed of 0.18s.
While Ulefone is keen to point out that the S8 Pro
is a budget phone they have been generous enough to build the handset with
quality materials including a metal frame, elegant curved rear panel and 2.5D
display.
Speaking of the display, it’s also with mentioning
that Ulefone has taken the rather unique approach of using a 5.3-inch HD
display with super narrow 0.5mm wide bezels, rare at any price let alone on a
phone for less than US$ 80.
The final feature highlight is the triple card
support. While other Android phones allow the use of either dual SIM cards or a
single SIM plus SD card, Ulefone has built the S8 Pro to accept both dual SIM
cards and an SD card of up to 128GB! A great feature that we’re sure other
brands will be quick to copy.
