AT&T has confirmed that it will start taking
pre-orders of the “toughest Galaxy smartphone yet,” Samsung Galaxy S8 Active
later today. Customers interested in the handset will be able to grab the
handset on AT&T Next plan for US$ 28.34 for 30 months.
What’s even more surprising is that the Korean
company said that the rugged smartphone will be exclusive to AT&T for a
limited time period. This means that there’s a possibility that we may get to
see the handset on other major carriers in the United States in the coming
months.
The handset is built on military-grade durability
making it shock, shatter, water and dust resistant. There’s a metal frame
around the handset along with a bumper to protect the handset from drops and
bumps, which is quite common among customers these days. As for the
specifications, it will come with a 5.8-inch display while rest of the
specifications are same as the Galaxy S8.
