Without any hints,
teasers or rumors this time, Xiaomi unveiled earlier today the MIJIA Compact 4K
Camera, and it’s already available if you’re looking to buy it, on Xiaomi’s Mi
Mall. It’s another action camera – with compact dimensions- that can record 4K
videos and comes with a very affordable price tag of 699 Yuan (US$ 105).
As its name suggests, the MIJIA Compact 4K Camera
can easily fit into any pocket with minimal dimensions (71.5 x 42.7 x 29.5mm)
and a weight of just 99 gr. It packs a 2.4 inch touchscreen display that allows
for easy access to your photos/videos (and you can play back them if you want),
but you can easily adjust most settings with a simple touch.
The camera packs an Ambarella A12S75 chip with 3D
motion noise reduction and uses a Sony IMX317 sensor with f2.8 aperture, 145°
wide angles that can capture photos at 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) and record 4K
videos at 30 fps with 6 axis image stabilization (Electronic Image Stabilization)
which includes 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer.
It comes with a battery that can last up to 2 hours
when shooting 4K videos and 3 hours during 1080p video shoot. It also supports
WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and comes with an SD card slot which can take a
maximum of 64GB SD card.
