Honor is expected to introduce a new mid- to
high-end Android smartphone in early September. The upcoming device is called
Honor V9 Play and it's the same that was spotted recently at TENAA, the Chinese
regulatory agency.
Today, the Chinese handset maker confirmed it will
unveil the Honor V9 Play on September 6, the last day of IFA 2017 trade fair.
The launch event will take place in China and the smartphone will be
exclusively available for purchase in this country, at least initially.
Specs-wise, the Honor V9 Play is quite decent,
especially that it's said to cost just US$ 225 outright. The phone is equipped
with a Kirin 659 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. Also, the smartphone will
feature a single 12-megapixel primary camera on the back, as well as a
fingerprint scanner.
We're expecting additional details about the Honor
V9 Play to be revealed on September 6, including information on the phone's
availability outside of China.
